The ring is made of a natural cowrie shell that has been found on a Kauai beach and then bezel set into sterling silver and soldered onto a handmade ring.

Each cowrie shell is one of a kind so each ring will look different and have variation in color and texture. The shells may have slight imperfections that are inherent and add to the uniqueness and organic feel of each piece. The Crowned Cowrie Shell Ring you receive will be similar but different from the one in the photos as they are stock pictures.

These shells were found on the beautiful beaches in Hawaii, no shells are ever picked alive.
